Chiropodists (pronounced : ‘ker-ro-po-dist’) and Podiatrists are the only recognized and regulated primary health care provider, foot specialists, in Ontario who provides a variety of medical services ranging from skin and nail care to orthotics and in-office surgeries. Chiropody is a field of medicine that focuses on assessing, preventing and treating conditions associated with the foot and ankle by medical, surgical or palliative care. They complete seven years of post-secondary education before starting their professional careers.

Mr. Chi Tak Jeffrey Kwan B.Sc., D.Ch.

Jeffrey is a registered chiropodist with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education before pursuing studies as a chiropodist. He graduated from the Chiropody program at the Michener Institute of Education at UHN in Toronto. During his time at Michener, Jeffrey gained valuable experience working at the Michener Chiropody Clinic, Flemingdon Health Centre, Fairview Health Centre, Waterloo Foot Clinic, Royal City Foot Clinic, and Newmarket Foot Centre.

Jeffrey is passionate about helping patients get back on their feet by tailoring a management plan for each individual. He enjoys educating the community and his patients while staying up to date with the most recent evidence-based research. He aims to provide quality foot care by managing foot pain, sports injuries, diabetic complications, warts, ingrown nails, fungal nails, corns, and calluses.

When Jeffrey is out of the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends playing board games or finding time to be active. He has been involved with recreational sports including volleyball, ultimate frisbee, snowboarding, bouldering, badminton, and basketball.

If you have any foot problems or concerns, Jeffrey is excited and looking forward to meeting and treating your feet as he is just down the street!
